πŸŽ™οΈ Launching the FLY! Podcast – Series 1

I am proud to announce the launch of the FLY! Podcast – Series 1, produced in collaboration with Nova Entertainment and The Fordham Company.

Based on my book FLY! – The Elements of Resilience, this podcast series brings to life the principles of resilience through real-world stories and conversations with inspiring guests. Together, we’ll explore resilience at the personal, corporate, and national levels – lessons that are as relevant in the cockpit as they are in everyday life.

What to Expect

  • 20 episodes featuring leaders, experts, and individuals who embody resilience.
  • Behind-the-scenes insights into the QF32 story and other defining moments.
  • Practical tools and timeless lessons you can apply to your own journey.

The first episodes are now live, and new episodes will be released each week.

πŸ‘‰ You can listen here: FLY! Podcast – Series 1

Thank you for joining me on this journey. I look forward to sharing these conversations with you – and to hearing your thoughts and questions as we explore the elements of resilience together.

Dear Richard, I love your podcast, and I am fascinated by your topic resilience and always interested in reading / hearing of other people’s experiences. I came across this today and wondered if you have spoken with anyone surviving being in the open ocean, and their resilience experience. https://rolexsydneyhobart.com/race/2025/news/pre-race/eyes-on-the-fleet-technology-that-watches-waits-and-sometimes-saves-a-life/ Regards, Jacqueline

      Hi Jacqueline,
      Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, the Sydney to Hobat race is a remarkable test of endurance and resilience. Inded, this year’s race was the 80th anniversary of the race and my friend Gordon Ingate sailed in about 25 of them, starting in 1946. Gordon turns 100 this year so I will hopefully interview him for FLY! – season 2.

      Best wishes

      Rich

Richard, it was great to hear your QF32 talk. I remember it very well, I was in seat 81A. Also you gave me a guided tour of the 380 on a subsequent flight from Singapore to LHR of which I had the pleasure of you flying me again.

Thank you Richard, Do former pilots dream of aircraft and still enjoy their dreams? Yes they do, even 91 year olds like me. Best wishes, kind regards, and as always, mind your air speed on finals. Brian.

      Hi Brian,
      A 91-year-old pilot β€” that’s resilience!
I still dream about flying and miss the fast, big jets immensely. I also miss the passengers…
I recently heard two musical renditions of the poem High Flight β€” absolutely wonderful.
      Passion never fades!
      Keep well,
      Rich
